At The Source Pelvic Health & Wellness, we provide specialized pediatric pelvic floor physical therapy for children and adolescents experiencing bowel, bladder, or pelvic concerns. Issues like constipation, bedwetting, daytime accidents, and pelvic or abdominal pain are far more common than many families realize—and they are highly treatable with the right care.

Our pediatric pelvic floor therapy is a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps children better understand their bodies, improve bladder and bowel habits, and gain confidence at home, school, and in daily activities. We combine expertise in developmental pediatric physical therapy with advanced pelvic health specialization, allowing us to treat the whole child—not just the symptoms.
We typically see children 5 years and older in the clinic with a parent or guardian present. For families with younger children (under 4), we also offer parent coaching sessions to support healthy bowel and bladder habits early.

What to Expect
Your child’s first visit focuses on conversation, education, and trust. We take time to talk with both you and your child or teen, explain what’s happening in their body using age-appropriate tools (books, visuals, and hands-on learning), and develop a personalized plan of care.
When appropriate and with consent, treatment may include:
-
Breathing and coordination exercises
-
Biofeedback using Ultrasound Imaging or EMG for muscle awareness
-
Voiding Assessments
-
Education to support healthy bowel and bladder habits at home and school
-
Postural and movement exercises to support overall function
-
Nervous system regulation activities
-
Pelvic floor muscle retraining
A guardian is always present, and every session is tailored to ensure a positive, empowering experience for your child.
If your child is struggling with bladder or bowel concerns, you don’t have to “wait it out.” Early support can make a meaningful difference.
